Jonathan Casler, PT, DPT, OCS, CEO

Jon graduated from the University of Delaware with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He is the founder of Function Physical Therapy and brings years of orthopedic and sports medicine experience to the team. Jon has assisted in the continuing education of students and physical therapists across the country. Mr. Casler is actively involved in current orthopedic research in the physical therapy field. In addition, he has implemented advanced rehabilitation protocols for several professional athletes across the nation and world.


Angela Simmonds, MPT, ATC, Director

Angela graduated with an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Recreation from Whittier College and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from Chapman University. She is also a certified athletic trainer and has worked with football, baseball, volleyball and lacrosse teams.  Angela has extensive experience in physical therapy specializing in orthopedics and sports therapy.  She has worked with professional as well as Olympic athletes.  Outside of work Angela enjoys activities such as volleyball, running, and hiking.  


Michael Thach, MPT, OCS

Michael received his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from California State University, Northridge and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego. He has worked with a wide range of athletes of all ages from the recreational to professional level. Michael is committed to continuously expanding his knowledge of physical therapy and rehabilitation. Most recently he completed a year-long continuing education course that focused on orthopedic conditions and chronic pain. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball, going to the gym and cycling.


Matthew Hosokawa, DPT

Matt graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree and he holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. Matt provides the team with years of experience in rehabilitation of surgical and non-surgical orthopedic and sports-related injuries. Matt is dedicated to continuous improvement of his knowledge and skill by attending continuing education courses and reading scientific journal articles. He has attended courses and symposiums related to research and rehabilitation of patients who have underwent hip arthroscopy procedures. He has extensive experience in analyzing the gait patterns of runners in order to provide feedback and instruction on strategies for addressing biomechanical factors that may be affecting their performance. Matt is an avid runner and he enjoys outdoor activities, such as hiking, basketball, volleyball, and football.
